People Behind Lotus

Lotus Relief Charitable Trust (UK) was established and registered with the Charity Commission in the UK in 1998. Lotus Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V was established and registered as a charitable Association in Germany in 2007.

Wolfgang Sietz and Ivy Christou, set up “Lotus” and are Trustees of Lotus-Trust and Vorstand and Members of Lotus-Hilfe. They are joined by Ross Badger, a business associate of long standing, who became a Trustee of Lotus-Trust in 1998 and Member of Lotus-Hilfe in 2007, and by Axel Siepmann who is also a business associate of long standing who became a Member of Lotus-Hilfe in 2007 and recently became a Trustee of Lotus-Trust.  Lotus' Trustees are located in the UK and Germany.

Lotus' Country Co-ordinator is located in Siem Reap, Cambodia

In December 2014 Erik van Rensburg was appointed Country Coordinator for Lotus. Erik has been living and working in Cambodia since 2012, having previously lived in South Africa and the United Kingdom. He has worked with a number of NGO's in his capacity as both qualified management accountant and professional photographer. It is this experience as well as his affection for and appreciation of the local culture that Erik brings to the role of Country Coordinator with Lotus.
